He was admitted to the bar in 1891 and has practiced his profession in Osceola, the county seat of Clarke county, since that date. He was elected Senator in 1891 and served during the Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth General Assemblies. Re-elected Senator in 1903 and served during the Thirtieth, Thirty-first and Thirty-second General Assemblies. He also held the office of town treasurer of Osceola for a period of five years. A Republican in politics.
