He was elected Senator in 1891 and served during the Twenty-fourth and Twenty-fifth General Assemblies. Re-elected Senator in 1903 and served during the Thirtieth, Thirty-first and Thirty-second General Assemblies. He also held the office of town treasurer of Osceola for a period of five years. A Republican in politics.
