Representative from Franklin county, was born in Courtland, New York, December 20, 1853. He is the son of Dr. W. A. Thayer and Nancy Thayer, who moved to Iowa in 1864, and in 1866 settled in Franklin county. He was married April 10, 1877, to Fannie J. Popejoy. Two daughters were born to them. A member of the Masonic lodge. Elected representative in 1912. A republican in politics. Died March 1, 1913.
