Member of Episcopalian Church, served 7 years on church vestry, Elks, The Des Moines Club, Dubuque Boat Club, Shawondasee Club, Dubuque Golf and Country Club, Dubuque Shooting Society, former Torarian, Iowa National Guard, 1949, Legion of Valor, American Legion. Lt.
