Representative from Osceola county, was born in Grundy county, Iowa, June 11, 1877. When he was five years old he moved with his parents to Arcadia, Ohio, where they resided until he was thirteen years of age, but with the exception of this period he has spent his entire life in Iowa. Is a successful physician and surgeon, receiving his degree at the University of Iowa in 1902. After graduation he went direct to Melvin, Osceola county, Iowa, and has practiced his profession ever since. Served two years as county attorney, seven years as councilman and two terms as mayor. Married June 29, 1904, to Miss Maude Rolston. To them have been born four children. Elected representative in 1912. Re-elected in 1914. A democrat in politics.
