Attended Clermont public schools and later the State University of Iowa; graduating from the collegiate department in 1897 and the law department in 1898. I-He afterwards took special work at Columbia University. Became a resident of Fort Dodge in 1901, and is engaged in the law and real estate business and is also interested in stock raising and farming. Elected senator in 1908. Re-elected in 1912. A republican in politics.
