Farr and Hannah Haines Farr, who were pioneers of the state of Iowa. Daniel T. Farr was a native of the state of New York and was of Puritan ancestry. Hannah Haines was a native of Canada and was of English-Dutch descent. Attended the common schools, graduated from college, and later graduated from the law department of the State University of Iowa. Located in Sioux City and engaged in the practice of law in 1887 and has been engaged in the practice continuously since that date. Was married to Miss Minnie E. Ely, September 27, 1892. They have one son. Elected senator in 1912. A democrat in politics.
