Has engaged in various mercantile pursuits and was for a time in the Decorah post office. For the past sixteen years he has been associated with the Decorah Posten, a semi-weekly newspaper. Has conducted an insurance agency for nearly twenty years. Elected representative in 1910. Re-elected in 1912. Elected senator in 1914. A republican in politics.
