Senator from Thirty-seventh district, composed of Hamilton, Hardin, Wright counties. Born in Lynchburg, Virginia, September 3, 1864. Moved from Illinois to Eagle Grove, Iowa, on February 15, 1882, and worked eighteen years at railroading. Began practice of law in September, 1899, and has continued in the practice at Eagle Grove. He is a republican, and was a delegate to the Republican National convention at Chicago in 1908. Elected senator in 1918.
