Senator from the Twenty-second district, composed of Clinton county, was born in the city of Clinton June 13, 1878. He was educated in the Clinton public schools and business college. Was employed in railroad office work a short time after leaving school, but gave this up to take a position in the wholesale drug business, and has sold Pharmaceuticals in eastern Iowa for the past sixteen years. He is a thirty-second degree Mason and a Shriner. Was married to Hazel C. McKinley May 12, 1910. Elected senator November 5, 1918. A republican in politics.
