Representative from the ninety-third district, Mitchell county, Iowa. Was born February 20, 1872, at Paxton, Ford county, Illinois. Attended grade school. Learned the cigar maker's trade. Came to Iowa in 1896 and located at Clear Lake, Iowa. Moved to Osage in 1900. Established himself in the wholesale and retail cigar business. Served four years in city council. Mayor of Osage, in 1923-24. Republican in politics.
