Came to Fremont county in March, 1868. Taught school, worked in a clothing store, drug store, general merchandise. Has served on school board, township clerk, alderman and mayor of the city or Hamburg, but farming is his business. Lives in Hamburg and works real estate and insurance. Was married in 1881 to Miss Lula Harris. Was elected a member of the thirty-sixth general assembly as a republican. Re-elected in 1916.
