Senator from the twelfth district, composed of Poweshiek and Keokuk counties, was born on a farm five miles east of Brooklyn, May 6, 1879. Parents, E. H. and Sarah E. (Manatt) Mason. Attended rural school and high school at Brooklyn, later attended college. After leaving college became a commercial traveler for twenty-five years, and then returned to the farm home. Married Rae H. Lynch, Phillipsburg, Kansas, and has one daughter, Faithe Wyvonne. Was elected to senate November, 1934. A democrat.
