McGregor Democrat 36th Senatorial District Clayton County. Born at McGregor, Iowa, son of F. F. Geske and Sophia Geske, emigrants from Germany. Raised on a farm and graduated from the McGregor high school. Clerked in a country store and taught country schools. Graduated from Valparaiso Normal School in 1893. Taught in the public schools at Windom, Minnesota, was superintendent of schools at Lake Crystal, Minnesota. Attended the University of Minnesota for two years. Read law at Elkader, Iowa, and graduated from Drake University law school. In the practice of law at McGregor since admission to the bar. Served as a member of the public school board, councilman and mayor of McGregor. Clayton county attorney two terms. Served in the senate since first election in 1932.

Later read law with D. D. Murphy at Elkader, Iowa, and graduated from the law school at Drake University at Des Moines, Iowa, and has been in the practice of law at McGregor since his admission to the bar. He has served as a member of the public school board at McGregor, one time president of said board; also served as councilman and mayor of the town of McGregor from time to time. He was county attorney of Clayton county, Iowa, for two terms and was elected to the senate in 1932 and re-elected in 1936. A democrat.
