Owned and operated farm north of West Liberty 1934-1954. Licensed real estate broker since 1954. Owned and operated West Liberty Auction Company 1958-1960. Served two terms as Mayor of West Liberty. Owned and operated Liberty Lanes Bowling Establishment 1966-1973. Served six years on Muscatine County Board of Assessment and Review. World War II veteran. Past Commander of West Liberty American Legion Post. Member of West Liberty Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Consistory, and Shrine, Loyal Order of Moose and Muscatine County Farm Bureau. First term.
