J. LYLE MUSMAKER Greenfield Republican 16th Senatorial District Adair and Madison Counties. Born Greenfield, Iowa, June 18, 1898, son of George D. and Alice (Girard) Musmaker. Graduated from Greenfield high school, 1915, Ph.D. University of Notre Dame, 1920, admitted to practice of law University of Iowa in 1923. Member of firm Musmaker & Musmaker, attorneys-at-law, Greenfield, Iowa. Mayor of Greenfield, 1932 and 1933, member of Board of Trustees of Greenfield Municipal Utilities since 1940. Republican County Chairman of Adair county five years. Married to Helen Wilhelm of Winterset, Iowa, August 4, 1945. Veteran of World Wars I and II. Member of the American Legion, Greenfield Community Service Club, and Greenfield Country Club. Elected to fill vacancy in Senate in 1946.
