Guthrie Center Republican 17th Senatorial District Audubon, Dallas, and Guthrie Counties. Born November 13, 1907, on a farm in Tama county and was educated in the public schools at Pipestone, Minnesota. Married Esther Brinkman. Father of one son, Gordon, of Miami, Florida. Owned and operated an appliance store in Guthrie Center for 14 years. In 1950, moved to a 268 acre farm. Served nine years as a member and president of Guthrie Center school board. Secretary of Guthrie county fair association. Member of Farm Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, and affiliated with the Methodist church. Serving first term in the Senate.
