Norton Munger was born in Mungers Mills, New York, in 1815. He married Helen Hamlin on February 4, 1845, in Henry County, Iowa. They had a daughter. Munger was a lawyer and served Henry County as its attorney for many years. He died in Keokuk, Iowa, in 1851.
