Born February 21, 1810, in New Hampshire. He served as a Councilor during the Fifth and Sixth Legislative Assemblies of the Iowa Territory from 1842 to 1845, representing Scott and Clinton Counties. He is listed in the census record as living in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa with his wife, Lucy, in 1860. He died July 17, 1900, and is buried in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri.
