Born May 12, 1808, in Indiana. In 1827, he married Sarah C. Ray; the couple lived in Indiana until at least 1834. They then moved to Iowa, where Mr. Berry served the people of Linn County in the House of Representatives of the Fifth Legislative Assembly of the Iowa Territory. He is listed in United States Census records as living in Linn County, Iowa in 1850, in Wheatland, Bad Ax, Wisconsin in 1860, and in Salem, Marion, Oregon in 1870. He died there on January 6, 1882.
