Born 1814 in Connecticut. Mr. Banks came to Iowa in 1838 and married Betty Holliday on March 24, 1840. He was elected to represent Jefferson County in the Seventh and Eighth Legislative Assemblies, 1845, 1846. He was a Democrat in politics.
