Sioux City Woodbury County Democrat. Born March 23, 1934, and reared in Woodbury County. Attended Central High School in Sioux City. Married Joanne Whede of Sioux City in 1951. Father of six children. Employed by Swift & Co. Member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Active in United Fund Campaign and a member of Mayor's Committee on International Visitors. Former president of the Young Democrats of Woodbury Country and former president of the Woodbury Labor Council. Presently precinct committeeman and vice president of Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO. First term.
