Two sons: William David, 14, and John Robert, 12. Grain and livestock farmer. Young Republican, precinct committeeman, Chairman Mills County Republican Central Committee 3 terms. Colonel on Military Staff of Governor Norman Erbe. Interim Committee 1963-65, Legislative Research Committee. Named an outstanding legislator by the Press Corps in 60th G. A. Chairman Highway Study Committee. 1964 award of merit from Iowa Good Roads Association. Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Glenwood. Served 59th, 60th, 60th Extra and 61st General Assemblies.

D, Barnard Co., Dallas. Married Jane Goldapp of Council Bluffs, Iowa, June 7, 1947. Two sons: William David, 12, and John Robert, 10. Grain and livestock farmer. Young Republican, precinct committeeman, chairman Mills County Republican Farm Council, chairman Mills County Republican Central Committee (3rd term), member Republican State Presidential Resolutions Committee for 1960, Council of Boy Scouts, Naval Reserve. Named honorary colonel on the military staff of Governor Erbe, 1961. Member Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Serving second term.
