Wapello Louisa and Muscatine Counties Democrat. Born in Luverne, Minn., April 10, 1928, son of Herman and Ella Rickert. Graduated from Reinbeck High School, and Iowa State University, B.S. degree in animal husbandry. Married Esther Jamison in 1950 and they have three children: Claudia, Pamela and Jamie. Peacetime service in the Air Force, and is now farming in Wapello. Attends the Presbyterian Church, is a member of the Farmers Union and Farm Bureau. First term.
