Graduated from Onawa High School, 1931; graduated from University of Iowa in 1936; took graduate work at University of Colorado. High school teacher and principal until 1941, when he purchased a farm near Onawa and has made farming his business ever since. In 1933 he married Evangeline Wickersham, has two children, John and Mary Lou. Farm Bureau president for two years. Three years on Farm Security Administration board. Member of Onawa Methodist Church, where he is past chairman of adult education and a member of the board of finance. Chairman of Boy Scout Council. Served as departmental superintendent of county fair. Breeder of registered Angus cattle. Serving 5th term.
