Ames Story County Democrat. Born in Tacoma, Wash., May 11, 1930, the son of Herman and Christine Hausheer. Attended Graceland College, Lamoni, Iowa; B.A. degree in history from the University of Dubuque; M.A. in history from the University of Wyoming; an additional year of graduate study at the University of Washington. Married Kay Erwin, Seattle, Wash., 1957; three children. Ten years a public school teacher, presently teaches history at Ames Senior High School, member of the Ames Education Association, the Iowa State Education Association. Member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Serving first term.
