Married Doris Morningstar in 1949. Three children at home: Corinne, Michael and Charles. Overseas veteran of World War II, also served during the Korean war. Catholic, past district deputy of Knights of Columbus. Grain and livestock farmer. Member of the American Legion, Farm Bureau, Iowa State Farm Safety Committee Board of Directors, Iowa State Crop Improvement Association. Past vice president Farm Flock Association. Master Lamb Producer, 1961. Qualified livestock judge. Serving first term.
