Waterloo Black Hawk County Democrat. Born November 1, 1913, in Chicago, Ill. Daughter of J. David and Bess Siegel. Two brothers, Leonard L. residing at Waterloo, and Oscar A. in Cedar Rapids. Graduated from North High School, Minneapolis, Minn., and the University of Minnesota, B.S. degree. Attended graduate school at the State College of Iowa, 1962-1963. Married to Ben Cohen. Two children. Married daughter, Devra Marcus, a student in medical school at Stanford University; son, Loren, student at Harvard University. Member of Sons of Jacob Synagogue, Waterloo. Active in civic affairs. Member of United World Federalists, League of Women Voters, Civil Liberties Union, N.A.A.C.P., life member of Hadassah, life member of national Women's Committee of Brandeis University, honorary citizen of Boys Town, Neb. Serving first term.
