Former teacher in Ottumwa Schools, director and teacher of Head Start Program in Wapello County, and manager of Work Incentive Program for Area XV, 1973-78. Married Jim Yenger of Ottumwa, 1959. Children: Laura and Russell. Former board of directors' chairman, Ottumwa Day Care Center; former board member, Wapello County United Way; and former chairman of advisory board for Wapello County Alcoholism Program. Current member of Iowa Women's Politcal Caucus, GOP Women and advisory board for Women's Center and Displaced Homemakers Program of Indian Hills Community College. Commissioner, Commission on Aging. Member, Disciples of Christ (Christian Church). Chair of Approbations Subcommittee on Human Resources and vice chair of Human Resources. First term.
