Owns an Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship-recognized Heritage Farm that has been in the family since 1852. Hobbies are woodworking, trapshooting, genealogy, horticulture, hunting, model airplanes, quilting, and travel. Born in 1956 in Garwin. Raised and resides in the rural Garwin and Montour area.
