Married Mariellen Rifenbark of Sioux City, 1947. Three sons and two daughters. Served in Army during World War II, three years. Member, past moderator and deacon, United Congregational Church. Served as president of Sioux City Jaycees, Woodbury County Farm Bureau, Woodbury Extension Council, Pork Producers; and secretary, Iowa Pork Producers. Member, State Extension Advisory Council. President, Sloan Consolidated, Westwood Community and Woodbury County schools. Present chairman, AEA12. Second term.
