K-12 Education Reform Study Committee (J)
Charge
Recommend to the General Assembly goals and necessary legislation to reform Iowa's early childhood, primary, and secondary education system. The committee shall include in its review alternative approaches to student assessment, early childhood education initiatives, school-based decision making, uses of education technology, enhanced parental involvement and parent education alternatives, staff development activities and teacher training enhancements, extended school instruction time, use of interagency collaboration and partnerships between schools and business.
