15 competition process under this section for each
16 designated state service and shall also be consulted
17 regarding the issuance of a request for proposals and
18 shall also be consulted in the award process. The
19 auditor of state's role is to provide advice as to
20 whether an approach offers the best opportunity for
21 reducing state government costs.
22 5. The department of administrative services shall
23 submit a written report to the legislative government
24 oversight committee by December 31, 2003, concerning
25 the progress made by the department in complying with
26 the requirements of this section as well as any other
27 suggestions or recommendations of the department
28 concerning the requirements of this section."
