The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:45 a.m., Gipp of
Winneshiek in the chair.
Prayer was offered by the Honorable Chuck Gipp, Majority Leader
of the House.

opposing House File 388 or any legislation to increase taxation or
that would be detrimental to Iowa’s credit unions.
INTRODUCTION OF BILL
House File 657, by committee on government oversight, a bill for
an act relating to the establishment of the office of grants enterprise
management in the department of management to assist the state in
receiving more nonstate funds and providing a standing limited
appropriation.

Senate File 275, by committee on commerce, a bill for an act
relating to the taxation of utilities, including establishment of a
natural gas delivery tax rate for new electric power generating
plants, establishment of a replacement transmission tax for certain
municipal utilities, methods of allocation of replacement generation
tax incurred by certain new stand-alone electric power generating
plants, a formula for determining taxable value for property
generating replacement tax annually, extending the task force, and
providing for applicability.

environment, a bill for an act relating to fishing by establishing fees,
allocating fishing license revenue to fish habitat development,

act relating to election or appointment of trustees of a city hospital or
health care facility.
