have passed the House and the title, as amended, was agreed to.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE

Leave of absence was granted as follows:

Boddicker of Cedar for the remainder of the day, on request of Rants of Woodbury.

House File 686, a bill for an act relating to provision of notice
prior to the provision of products or services by state agencies or
political subdivisions, was taken up for consideration.

Bradley of Clinton asked and received unanimous consent that
House File 686 be deferred and that the bill retain its place on the
calendar.

House File 681, a bill for an act requiring the pledging of
collateral in relation to the deposit of uninsured public funds, making
related changes, making penalties applicable, and providing for
applicability, was taken up for consideration.

Hansen of Pottawattamie asked and received unanimous consent
to withdraw amendment H-1336 filed by him and Johnson of Osceola
on March 26, 2001.

Johnson of Osceola asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw amendment H-1324 filed by him and Van Fossen of Scott
on March 22, 2001.

Johnson of Osceola offered the following amendment H-1347 filed
by him and Van Fossen of Scott and moved its adoption:

1 Amend House File 681 as follows:
2 1. Page 12, by striking lines 18 through 30 and
3 inserting the following:
