amendment H-8449B, filed by him from the floor and moved its
adoption:

1 Amend the amendment, H-8449, to House File 2545 as
2 follows:
3 1. Page 1, by inserting after line 39 the
4 following:
5 " . Page 29, by inserting after line 26 the
6 following:
7 "Sec. . 2000 Iowa Acts, House File 2039,
8 section 3, is amended to read as follows:
9 SEC. 3. 1999 Iowa Acts, chapter 199, section 10,
10 subsection 5, unnumbered paragraphs 1 and 2, are
11 amended to read as follows:
12 HEALTH FACILITIES DIVISION
13 For salaries, support, maintenance, miscellaneous
14 purposes, and for not more than the following full-
15 time equivalent positions:
16 $ 2,317,150
17 FTEs 108.00
18 At least $76,000 of the amount appropriated and 6.0
19 FTEs authorized in this section are allocated for
20 enhanced response to complaints regarding intermediate
21 care facilities as necessary to comply with federal
22 health care financing administration requirements for
23 response within 10 days.
24 Notwithstanding section 8.33, any unencumbered or
25 unobligated balance of the $76,000 allocated in this
26 paragraph remaining at the end of the fiscal year
27 shall not revert but shall be available for
28 expenditure for the enhanced response to complaints
29 regarding intermediate care facilities as provided in
30 this paragraph for subsequent fiscal years.""
Amendment H-8500 was adopted.
