Ford of Polk offered the following amendment H-8503, to
amendment H-8449B, filed by him from the floor and moved its
adoption:

H-8503

1 Amend the amendment, H-8449, to House file 2545 as
2 follows:
3 1. Page 1, by inserting after line 39 the
4 following:
5 " . Page 29, by inserting after line 26 the
6 following:
7 "Sec. . Section 73.16, subsection 2, Code 1999,
8 is amended by adding the following new unnumbered
9 paragraph after unnumbered paragraph 1:
10 NEW UNNUMBERED PARAGRAPH. The director of each
11 agency or department of state government having
12 purchasing authority shall issue electronic bid
13 notices for distribution to the targeted small
14 business web page located at the department of
15 economic development if the director releases a
16 solicitation for bids for procurement of equipment,
17 supplies, or services. The notices shall be provided
18 to the targeted small business marketing manager
19 forty-eight hours prior to the issuance of all bid
20 notices. The notices shall contain a description of
21 the subject of the bid, a point of contact for the
22 bid, and any subcontract goals included in the bid.""
23 2. By renumbering as necessary.

Amendment H-8503 was adopted.

Further division of amendment H-8449 was requested as follows:

Lines 4 through 23, Division B.
Lines 24 through 29, Division C.
Lines 30 through 31, Division D.
Lines 32 through 33, Division B.
Lines 34 through 39, Division E.

On motion by Brunkhorst of Bremer amendment H-8449B was
adopted.

Cormack of Webster asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw amendment H-8406 filed by him on March 20, 2000.
