  1  1    Amend the amendment, H-8449, to House File 2545 as
  1  2 follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 39 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "#   .  Page 29, by inserting after line 26 the
  1  6 following:
  1  7    "Sec.    .  2000 Iowa Acts, House File 2039,
  1  8 section 3, is amended to read as follows:
  1  9    SEC. 3.  1999 Iowa Acts, chapter 199, section 10,
  1 10 subsection 5, unnumbered paragraphs 1 and 2, are
  1 11 amended to read as follows:
  1 12    HEALTH FACILITIES DIVISION
  1 13    For salaries, support, maintenance, miscellaneous
  1 14 purposes, and for not more than the following full-
  1 15 time equivalent positions:  
  1 16 .................................................. $  2,317,150
  1 17 ............................................... FTEs     108.00
  1 18    At least $76,000 of the amount appropriated and 6.0
  1 19 FTEs authorized in this section are allocated for
  1 20 enhanced response to complaints regarding intermediate
  1 21 care facilities as necessary to comply with federal
  1 22 health care financing administration requirements for
  1 23 response within 10 days.
  1 24    Notwithstanding section 8.33, any unencumbered or
  1 25 unobligated balance of the $76,000 allocated in this
  1 26 paragraph remaining at the end of the fiscal year
  1 27 shall not revert but shall be available for
  1 28 expenditure for the enhanced response to complaints
  1 29 regarding intermediate care facilities as provided in
  1 30 this paragraph for subsequent fiscal years.""
