Brunkhorst of Bremer offered the following amendment H-8063
filed by him and moved its adoption:
H-8063
1 Amend House File 2291 as follows:
2 1. Page 1, by inserting after line 7 the
3 following:
4 "Sec. . APPLICATIONS. a person who retired
5 from a school district or accredited nonpublic school
6 located in Iowa while holding a valid practitioner's
7 license prior to July 1, 2000, shall have until July
8 1, 2001, to apply to the board for a permanent
9 substitute teacher license."
10 2. Page 1, by striking lines 17 through 20 and
11 inserting the following: "immediate importance, takes
12 effect upon enactment."
13 3. Title page, by striking lines 2 and 3 and
14 inserting the following: "substitute teacher license
15 and providing an effective date."
16 4. By renumbering as necessary.
Amendment H-8063 was adopted, placing amendment H-8054 filed
by Mascher of Johnson on February 22, 2000, out of order.
Brunkhorst of Bremer moved that the bill be read a last time now
and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was
read a last time.
