have passed the House and the title was agreed to.

IMMEDIATE MESSAGES

Jacobs of Polk asked and received unanimous consent that the
following bills be immediately messaged to the Senate: House Files
2179, 2239, 2252 and 2315.

House File 2291, a bill for an act relating to teacher shortages by
creating a permanent substitute teacher license and including
effective and applicability date provisions, was taken up for
consideration.

Mascher of Johnson offered the following amendment H-8053 filed
by her and moved its adoption:

1 Amend House File 2291 as follows:
2 1. Page 1, line 6, by striking the words "located
3 in Iowa".

Roll call was requested by Mascher of Johnson and Stevens of
Dickinson.
