The bill having received a constitutional majority was declared to
have passed the House and the title was agreed to.

House File 2008, a bill for an act providing residency status to
certain members of the armed forces for purposes of hunting, fishing,
and fur harvesting, with report of committee recommending
amendment and passage, was taken up for consideration.

Brauns of Muscatine offered the following amendment H-8025
filed by the committee on natural resources and moved its adoption:

H-8025

1 Amend House File 2008 as follows:
2 1. Page 1, by striking line 19, and inserting the
3 following: "military personnel person shall carry
4 their the person's leave papers and a copy of the
5 person's current earnings statement showing a
6 deduction for Iowa income taxes while".

The committee amendment H-8025 was adopted.

Dotzler of Black Hawk offered the following amendment H-8055
filed by him and moved its adoption:

H-8055

1 Amend House File 2008 as follows:
2 1. Page 1, line 22, by inserting after the word
3 "animal." the following: "If a military person while
4 hunting or fishing is cited for failure to prove
5 residency as required, the arresting state
6 conservation officer or other designee of the
7 department shall contact the department of revenue and
8 finance within one working day to determine if the
9 military person has filed a state income tax return or
