Prayer was offered by Reverend Nemmers, pastor of Saylorville
Baptist Church, Des Moines.

The following petition was received and placed on file:
By Boal of Polk, from twenty-nine constituents favoring House File
2003, relating to the incorporation of a practical demonstration
component in an examination to obtain licensure as a practitioner of
cosmetology arts and sciences.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS
House File 2054, by Davis, a bill for an act prohibiting persons
from riding and prohibiting operators from allowing persons to ride in
any area of a motor vehicle unintended for the seating of passengers
and providing a penalty.
Read first time and referred to committee on transportation.
House File 2055, by Heaton, a bill for an act relating to the
certified school to career program.
Read first time and referred to committee on education.
House File 2056, by Davis, a bill for an act relating to the
unemployment compensation contribution rate table applied to
certain smaller employers.
