House File 696, a bill for an act relating to the sale of timber by a county conservation board, was taken up for consideration. Drake of Pottawattamie offered the following amendment H?1123 filed by him and moved its adoption: H-1123 1 Amend House File 696 as follows: 2 1. Page 1, line 4, by striking the word "two- 3 week" and inserting the following: "sixty-day". Amendment H?1123 was adopted. Drake of Pottawattamie asked and received unanimous consent that amendment H-1124 be deferred. Drake of Pottawattamie offered the following amendment H?1125 filed by him and moved its adoption: H-1125 1 Amend House File 696 as follows: 2 1. Page 1, line 5, by inserting after the word 3 "more" the following: "or if the estimated value of 4 timber to be sold by the board during the same period 5 of time is five thousand dollars or more". Amendment H?1125 was adopted placing amendment H-1124 filed by Drake of Pottawattamie on March 18, 1999, previously deferred, out of order. Drake of Pottawattamie moved that the bill be read a last time now and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill was read a last time. On the question "Shall the bill pass?"
