Fifteenth Calendar Day - Ninth Session Day Hall of the House of Representatives Des Moines, Iowa, Monday, January 25, 1999 The House met pursuant to adjournment at 1:00 p.m., Speaker Corbett in the chair. Prayer was offered by Reverend Howard Chapman, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Marion. The Journal of Thursday, January 21, 1999 was approved. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Reverend Howard Chapman, Marion. LEAVE OF ABSENCE Leave of absence was granted as follows: Millage of Scott on request of Van Fossen of Scott. INTRODUCTION OF BILLS House File 127, by Jenkins, Houser, Carroll, and Witt, a bill for an act relating to reimbursement, payment, and coverage by the state for damages involving individuals providing foster home, guardian, or conservator services and providing an effective date. Read first time and referred to committee on human resources. House File 128, by Brauns, a bill for an act relating to an order of child support for the provision of a postsecondary education subsidy to a child who suffers from a learning disability or a physical or mental disability. Read first time and referred to committee on human resources.
