1 1 Amend Senate File 464 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 7, line 20, by inserting after the word
1 3 "division" the following: "of libraries and
1 4 information services".
1 5 #2. By striking page 8, line 31 through page 9,
1 6 line 1 and inserting the following:
1 7 "The division of libraries and information services
1 8 shall submit a list of current regional library
1 9 employees and their salaries to the department of
1 10 management by August 1, 1999. The list shall be used
1 11 by the department for purposes of calculating the
1 12 annual salary increase need, based on the salary
1 13 increases negotiated by the American federation of
1 14 state, county, and municipal employees. The amount
1 15 calculated by the department for salary need shall be
1 16 included in the regional library budget request
1 17 submitted to the governor for the fiscal year
1 18 beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001."
1 19 #3. Page 12, line 9, by inserting after the word
1 20 "graduates" the following: "at no charge to the
1 21 graduates".
1 22 #4. Page 24, by inserting after line 23 the
1 23 following:
1 24 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 256.67A INSURANCE
1 25 ELIGIBILITY.
1 26 Personnel employed by a regional library shall be
1 27 considered state employees for purposes of eligibility
1 28 for receiving employee health and dental insurance as
1 29 provided to state employees by the department of
1 30 personnel. If a regional library elects to
1 31 participate in a state employee health and dental
1 32 insurance program, the regional library shall continue
1 33 to pay the costs of employee participation in a
1 34 program from funds appropriated for purposes of the
1 35 regional libraries by the general assembly."
1 36 #5. By renumbering as necessary.
