1 1 Amend Senate File 2429, as passed by the Senate, as
1 2 follows:
1 3 #1. Page 10, by inserting after line 4 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "h. For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000,
1 6 and ending June 30, 2001, the board of dental
1 7 examiners may retain and expend not more than $133,282
1 8 for the costs of 2.00 additional FTEs from revenues
1 9 generated from the registration of dental assistants
1 10 pursuant to 2000 Iowa Acts, House File 686, as enacted
1 11 by the Seventy-eighth General Assembly, for the
1 12 purposes set forth in House File 686. For the fiscal
1 13 year beginning July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002,
1 14 the board of dental examiners shall include in their
1 15 budget request an amount of funding determined
1 16 necessary to support the ongoing registration of
1 17 dental assistants. Fees retained by the board
1 18 pursuant to this lettered paragraph are appropriated
1 19 to the Iowa department of public health to be used for
1 20 the purposes specified in this lettered paragraph."
