Senator Dvorsky asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw amendment S-5481, filed by him on April 2, 1998, to pages 15 and 37 of the bill. Senator Borlaug asked and received unanimous consent that action on House File 2530 be deferred. INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTION Senate Concurrent Resolution 119, by committee on Judiciary, a concurrent resolution requesting the Legislative Council to establish a sentencing commission. Read first time and placed on calendar. HOUSE MESSAGES RECEIVED The following messages were received from the Chief Clerk of the House: MADAM PRESIDENT: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the House has on April 14, 1998, passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the Senate is asked: House File 2557, a bill for an act relating to employment background checks by care facilities and services, creating a single contact repository, and making an appropriation. Read first time and referred to committee on Appropriations. ALSO: That the House has on April 14, 1998, concurred in the Senate amendment and passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the House was asked: House File 2275, a bill for an act relating to health care providers including the application of records checks to additional providers and the recording and availability of the records of the facility inspections and providing for a repeal. ALSO: That the House has on April 13, 1998, amended and passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the Senate is asked: Senate File 187, a bill for an act relating to the issuance of licenses and the imposition of fees for the fishing, trapping, hunting, pursuing, catching, killing, or taking of wild animals, birds, game, or
