  PRESENTATION OF VISITORS

  The Chair welcomed eleven eleventh grade students from
  Clarksville High School, Clarksville, Iowa, accompanied by Mr. and
  Mrs. Larry Backer, Mrs. Joyce Freese, Mrs. Lorna Schwartz, and
  Mrs. Ann Johnson.  The students were present in the Senate gallery
  as guests of Senator Jensen.

  Senate File 2415

  The Senate resumed consideration of Senate File 2415, a bill for an
  act relating to agricultural finance and providing an appropriation
  and taxation exemption, and providing an effective date, deferred on
  March 31, 1998.

  Senator McLaren offered amendment S-5476, filed by Senators
  McLaren and Kibbie from the floor, to pages 14, 15, and to the title
  page of the bill, and moved its adoption.

  Amendment S-5476 was adopted by a voice vote.

  Senator McCoy offered amendment S-5464, filed by him from the
  floor to page 16 of the bill, and moved its adoption.

  Amendment S-5464 lost by a voice vote.

  Senator McCoy offered amendment S-5462, filed by him from the
  floor to page 16 of the bill, moved its adoption, and requested a record
  roll call.

  On the question "Shall amendment S-5462 be adopted?" (S.F. 2415),
  the vote was:
