  1  4 ESTABLISHING IOWA STATE FLAG DAY.

  1  6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: 
  1  7 
  1  8    Section 1.  NEW SECTION.  1C.11  IOWA STATE FLAG DAY.
  1  9    The governor of this state is hereby requested and
  1 10 authorized to issue annually a proclamation designating the
  1 11 twenty-ninth day of March as "Iowa State Flag Day" and to urge
  1 12 that schools, civic organizations, governmental departments,
  1 13 and all citizens and groups display the Iowa state flag on
  1 14 that day and to reflect on and consider the heritage of the
  1 15 state flag.
