    House File 2497

         On motion of Senator Flynn, House File 2497, a bill for an act
    relating to the compensation and benefits for public officials and
    employees and making appropriations, with report of committee
    recommending amendment and passage, was taken up for consideration.

         Senator Murphy offered amendment S-5790 filed by the committee on
    Appropriations from the floor to pages 5-7 of the bill and called for a
    division: lines 8-17 as division S-5790A and lines 3-7 as division
    S-5790B.

         Senator Murphy asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw
    division S-5790A.

         Senator Lundby asked and received unanimous consent that action on
    division S-5790B be deferred.

         Senator Lundby offered amendment S-5796 filed by Senators Lundby
    and McKean from the floor to pages 4 and 5 of the bill and moved its
    adoption.

         Amendment S-5796 lost by a voice vote.

         Senator Kramer offered amendment S-5794 filed by her from the floor
    to page 7 of the bill and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5794 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Kramer offered amendment S-5793 filed by her from the floor
    to page 8 of the bill and moved its adoption.

         A record roll call was requested.

         On the question Shall amendment S-5793 be adopted? (H.F. 2497) the
    vote was:
