  1  1    Amend House File 2497, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 8, by inserting after line 14 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "   .  A noncontract supervisory employee shall not
  1  6 receive an annual salary which is less than the annual
  1  7 salary of a contract employee who the noncontract
  1  8 employee supervises.  This subsection shall not apply
  1  9 to persons appointed by the governor, elected state
  1 10 officers, and persons appointed by the state board of
  1 11 regents."
  1 12    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
